Renovation Quebec program is a framework established by the "Société d'habitation du Québec" (SHQ) to support municipalities that want to develop programs to improve housing and housing in residential areas degraded.
Financial assistance is given to owners for minor or major renovations to a residential building or residential part of a dual-purpose building. The work covered by the aid can be, for example, construction of new foundations, installation or replacement of a French drain or correcting structural problems.
The Quebec government and the municipality share the cost of the grant which may extend to two-thirds of the cost of eligible work.
Because the program applies only to certain sectors of the participating municipalities, and that criteria, the amounts allocated and the work eligibility vary from one municipality to another, we suggest you visit the site for a list SHQ participating municipalities.
Before commencing work, check with your municipality to see if you qualify for financial aid.
Visit the City of Longueuil for details and specific program criteria to it.
